LABORATORY
FACILITIES AND EQUIPMENT
|
The
Louisiana laboratory is housed in approximately 14,000 square feet of floor
space designed for efficient receipt, storage, preparation, and analysis
of samples in a manner which minimizes the potential for degradation or
cross-contamination of the samples. The facilities for bioassay testing
are located in a separate building from the chemical laboratories in order
to eliminate the possibility of exposure of the species to chemicals. The
organic sample preparation is performed in a trailer lab to minimize organic
solvent exposure to samples and analysis.
The Alabama laboratory contains approximately
3000 square feet of space and is dedicated primarily to wet chemical testing
and biological analysis with short holding times.
The Texas laboratory contains 1200 square
feet and is dedicated to the support of NPDES permits and short holding
time analyses. |
